Karina Nimmerfall will present Double Location (The Ambassador Hotel), 2007, a computer generated animation video based on the legendary Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles. Filled with historic and cinematic memories, this video is not an objective architectural reconstruction but a virtual space grounded in collective memory and medially transported descriptions of space.
Karina Nimmerfall is a visual artist based in Berlin, Germany and currently the Visiting Artist-in-Residence in the Graduate Studies Program at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena.
