Headshots

These were the first portraits I made in 2009 as preparation for my new body of work, which is heavily figurative. My test models were all friends who are (or were) LA based visual artists. I liked the headshot format both for its technical and formal demands as well as its Hollywood reference point. I also wanted to document my friends at this stage in each of their lives both as artists and as people. (Cole Case)
